🚶♀️The longest hiking trail in the world that might really surprise you. If you believe the services of Google Maps, the walking path runs from Cape Town (South Africa) to Magadan (Russia). To cover this route, then, you won’t need to fly or cross anywhere: only footpaths and bridges.
According to Google, the distance of such a walk is 22,387 km. And if you do a little math, it will take you about 4,492 hours – that’s 187 days of continuous walking excluding time for sleep. If you walk 8 hours a day, then to overcome this distance will take about a year and a half. Sounds like something on the unusual side, of course.
The route passes through 16 states: South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan, Egypt, Israel/Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Georgia, Russia. If you like walking, look for our article about walking with a dog.
